Welcome to
Half Pint Hill Miniature Donkeys
| We have been raising quality Registered Miniature Donkeys since 1992. Half Pint Hill is located in the rolling hills of northwestern Alberta Canada. Whitecourt is 1.5 hours northwest of the Capital city of Edmonton.
Our goal is to produce proportional compact mini donkeys with great personalities, who will be loved and enjoyed by people of all ages.
All of our donkeys are registered with the Canadian Donkey & Mule Association and can be registered with the Miniature Donkey Registry in the U.S.
Every donkey at Half Pint Hill is microchipped for identification and is on a regular vaccination, deworming and hoof care program. In 2003 we started vaccinating for West Nile Virus.

June 11, 2007, a field trip of 45 students along with teachers and parents came to visit. This was a great opportunity for us to expose children to the wonderful world of donkeys and reinforce the fact that there are fun things to do outside the house - away from TV and computers. In an effort to interest children in animal care, we explained about the responsibilities of owning a donkey and answered questions the children, teachers, and parents had. We provided informational hand-outs and donkey pictures for the children to color. Just for fun, Vic took Ace through an obstacle course and the children clapped with excitement as Ace cleared the jumps!

"Miniature Donkeys possess the affectionate nature of a Newfoundland dog, the resignation of a cow, the durability of a mule, the courage of a tiger, and the intellectual capability only slightly inferior to man's."
-Robert Green, imported first Miniature Donkeys to America 1929.
